Kendall grows the family business Lawn Doctor of Grand Rapids to 2,000 customers, learning first-hand how powerful word-of-mouth referrals can be for service businesses.
Building Lawnbot
Kendall decides homeowners should be able to purchase lawn care online and builds an online quoting tool later called Lawnbot — allowing homeowners to sign up and pay for lawn care entirely online.
Meeting Erik & the Acquisition
Kendall meets Erik Alburg, who joins Lawnbot as CTO. Together they grow the business fast and are acquired by Real Green / WorkWave in December 2020.
Co-founding Clicki
After leaving WorkWave, Kendall and Erik decide to co-found Clicki together after seeing so many of their customers struggle with their referral programs.
Clicki Launches
After a year of testing and developing, Clicki Referrals launches and begins onboarding customers into the v1 platform.
